Keranis Residences Attract Significant Media Coverage

Mr. Jerry Morgan, President of the Canadian Mercan Group, and Mr. Theodoros Kioutsoukis, President of Mercan Capital Greece, recently spoke to Greek media regarding Keranis Residences project.

Following this, Mercan Greece has received extensive media coverage for the ambitious urban redevelopment initiative in Piraeus. The project is progressing steadily, with the construction contract expected to be signed as early as the beginning of 2026. Currently in the tender phase, it is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027 and will transform the former Keranis tobacco factory into a modern mixed-use complex — one of the most significant urban regeneration projects in Attica.

Mercan Greece, a subsidiary of the Canadian Mercan Group responsible for the project, describes it as one of the most ambitious urban transformations in Attica, converting a dormant industrial complex into a multifunctional space capable of reshaping the area’s character. Media reports also highlight that the project will revitalize a historic industrial landmark. The 29,900 m² complex will feature 408 contemporary apartments, along with amenities including a gym, yoga studio, coworking spaces, restaurant, café, and rooftop facilities.

Reports further emphasize Mercan Group’s expansion in Greece, combining urban regeneration with high-quality hospitality developments. In addition to Keranis Residences, the Group is developing the Corfu Acharavi Hotel, for which a partnership agreement with Wyndham has been established, and exploring investments on several islands and in other urban centers — reinforcing its commitment to enhancing Greece’s real estate and tourism sectors.
